Christian Formation

We have Sunday School for 2 year olds through 8th grade. The younger children in the preschool class through Kindergarten meet at the church in nursery #1 and classroom #1. All other classes meet at the Juliet Long School, less than a block from the church. We meet during the school year from 9:30am to 10:40am. Children’s Choir meets prior to Sunday School at 9am at the Juliet Long School. Childcare (birth through 2 years old) is available for parents participating in the Adult programs during the learning hour.

Spark Sunday School is our new faith formation program. Designed to fit all the different ways kids learn, Spark empowers kids to interact and engage with the Bible. Spark has been designed by children’s education experts to accommodate all the different ways kids learn. Your child may learn best through hands-on activities or maybe through writing and reading activities. Our kids will explore their faith through interactive activities and games, colorful lesson leaflets, creative art projects and engaging music.

What I am most excited about is that our kids will be opening the Bible and engaging with God’s Word each and every week. Age-specific Bible goals set for each age level help ensure kids in our congregation will engage with their Bibles in age appropriate ways. Any questions or to signup your child for SPARK! speak with me, Jessica Dodson, Director of Discipleship for Children and Families.

Nursery

Michele Clements

St. Luke offers a nursery with a paid and trained nursery attendant on Sunday mornings from 8:15 am to the conclusion of the 11 o’clock worship service. The nursery is designed for children 4 years of age and younger. Nursery service is often provided for special worship services and fellowship family activities.

We are always in need of a few extra hands to help out in the nursery during 11:00 worship. Please consider signing up to lend a hand.
